Tending the Garden of Compassion

"The heart is like a garden.
It can grow compassion or fear, resentment or love.
What seeds will you plant there?”

~ Jack Kornfield

This is a sacred invitation to...

Join shamanic wisdom teachers Margot Harrison and Beth Shekinah Terrence for our Autumn 2026 Tending the Garden of Compassion Workshop.

This is an invitation to journey into the core of one’s being.

The intention of this sacred container is to create a virtual space that offers participants time for opening to personal, collective and ancestral lineage healing.

It is an opportunity to learn to tend to one’s own garden of compassion, both inwardly and outwardly.

In our willingness to travel within, we are able to deepen our understanding of ourselves and the great web of life that we are a part of. We do this by slowing down, going deeper and opening into the emanating fields of our own greater nature.

The cultivation of inner knowing and fortification is essential at all times and most especially in the current chaotic times we are now living in now on earth.

Through this portal of self-exploration, we learn to resource ourselves by accessing our allies and guides so that we can carry the visions stirring within us forward.

As we face our life’s challenges with loving embrace through compassion, we invite our inner wisdom to emerge as our pathway for deeper self-awareness and embodied guidance, opening us to greater peace and ease.

Our Foundation…

The focus of this Summer Workshop is to build a strong foundation for tending our own gardens of compassion through two core alchemical practices, The Cauldrons of Poesy and Feeding Your Demons. Additionally, our time together will be supported by other contemplative practices including meditation and journaling.

The Cauldrons of Poesy. Based on the teachings of Caitlín Matthews who translated the original text and developed the teaching the cauldron is one of the central images in Celtic, and many other, shamanic traditions. It was the primary giver of bodily nourishment, heat and plenty and was a symbol for inspiration, knowledge, wisdom and rebirth. The cauldron also governed the reception and dispensation of knowledge and inspiration.  It is in this last role that we will explore, work with and meditate on the mythical action of three bodily cauldrons within the body, seeking the wisdom within.

In working with the Cauldrons in meditation we clear the way, removing what has become stuck, that which no longer serves us. As we tend to our cauldrons we restore and nourish them. When they are full of the waters of life we become connected, happy and well.

Feeding Your Demons®. With roots in the ancient Tibetan Buddhist shamanic practice of Chod, meaning “severance”, Feeding Your Demons® is a potent compassion practice that can serve as a secular transformation tool for anyone, regardless of their religious affiliation or personal philosophy.

This unique method offers a timeless doorway to healing and freedom. Lama Tsultrim, creator of Feeding Your Demons®, brought forth this approach as she integrated the traditional Chod practice with more modern approaches such as Gestalt Therapy, Internal Family System, Voice Dialogue, Jungian Archetypal work, and Somatic Processes. It offers a way to address personal challenges, cultural issues, and the roots of our suffering.

Bringing together these two ancient alchemical approaches we will offer participants an opportunity to look at and tend to their own life experiences, patterns held in ancestral lineages, and energies in the collective with an intention to cultivate inner and outer peace and stability.

We will be connecting and deepening our relationships with our allies and wise and well helping spirits to fortify our inner guidance system and to strengthen our foundation of health, well-being and resilience.

If you keep your heart open through everything, your pain can become your greatest ally in your life’s search for love and wisdom. ~ Rumi
